our program
Residents of Freedom House Recovery House must be in recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. Upon admission to our recovery houses, residents must be proven drug and alcohol free. The recovery houses operate on a system of phases which a resident progresses through levels of increasing responsibility and privelege. Time in the house is not the sole criteria for advancement. Specific treatment goals must also be met. Residents are initially introduced into a moderately structured living environment which requires the following:
Employment
Gaining sufficient employment in order to pay the $160 rent collected weekly.
Meetings
Completing a "90 in 90" daily attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
Rules and Regulations
Adhering without exception to all house rules including, but not limited to: nightly house curfew, noise restrictions, and assigned household chores.
Urine Samples
Providing random urine samples when requested. Use of illegal substances or any alcohol is strictly probited and is automatic grounds for termination of stay.
